TheHeritageCentre,locatedintheTownHall,isstaffedbymembersofPershore HeritageandHistorySocietywhowillbepleasedtoofferanyhelptheycan,andwilltry toansweranyqueries.IfyouwouldbeinterestedinjoiningtheSociety,andthen becoming involved in the Heritage Centre as a steward, please click on the Join Us page.Anumberofbooksonlocalhistoryareavailabletopurchase,includingcollectionsof photographs compiled by the late Marion Freeman, a past chairperson of the Society. TheHeritageCentrecontainsavariedcollectionofobjects,memorabilia,history,and socialhistorymostlyrelatedtoPershoreandsurroundingvillages.Associatedstudy materialsuchasdocuments,photographs,notes,andfamilyhistoriesareheldinover 100foldersinthesmallerroomandareavailableforvisitorstoconsult.Newfolderswere purchasedthankstoourHeritageLotteryFundedproject,WorldWarIintheVale.We wouldlikeresidents,newincomers,andvisitorstothinkofPershoreHeritageCentreasa useful local resource.TheHeritageCentreisopenfromTuesdaytoFridayfrom10.30to1pm.Openingtimes canvary,sopleasecheckattheTownHall.IftheSoldierisoutside,thentheHeritage Centre is open.The Heritage Centre will close for the season on 29th November 2024.
